Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ted Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santa Clause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santa Clause!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clause does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Salazar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clause's guard.
Salazar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Salazar tries to free his leg and advance position but Clause is retaining full guard.
Salazar trying to control the position from guard on top but Clause is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salazar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Clause working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salazar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salazar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salazar is working Clause over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salazar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clause swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Salazar works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Salazar is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clause!
Clause tries to lock up and control but Salazar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Clause tries to hold on but Salazar postures up.
Clause is still in real trouble! Can Salazar finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Salazar is landing with some decent strikes but Clause is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Salazar loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Clause scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Salazar land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Salazar stands and salutes the crowd.
