Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddie Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Salvador Serrano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freddie Silva! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serrano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Serrano has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Silva manages to stand up with Serrano still on his back. Eventually Serrano drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Serrano.
Silva is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Serrano tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Serrano moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva taking a breather. Silva gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Serrano manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Serrano keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Serrano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Serrano not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serrano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Serrano tries to stand and escape but Silva is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva is trying to control but Serrano passes into side control!
Silva manages to get back to half guard. Serrano thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head. Silva wants to control but Serrano is keeping busy.
Silva wants to get back to full guard. Serrano winds up and cracks Silva with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Serrano wants to stand up but Silva has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva tries to get to full guard but Serrano has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serrano stands up and beckons Silva to join him on the feet. Serrano displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva. The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Serrano doesn't seem phased though. Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Serrano shoots and misses and Silva counters with a one-two to the body. Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Serrano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serrano darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Serrano throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Silva to regain full guard. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Serrano is proving a slippery customer.
Serrano is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Freddie Silva will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Silva has his takedown stuffed and Serrano counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Serrano. Serrano fails to pull guard.
Serrano is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Silva tries to pull guard but Serrano won't allow it.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva. Salvador Serrano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddie Silva. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Serrano. Silva stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano has managed to clinch.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Serrano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Freddie Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Serrano tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch. Silva breaks the clinch.
Silva fails with the takedown and Serrano counters with a one-two to the body. Serrano walks forward, straight into a front kick from Silva. Serrano has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva drags the fight down to the ground.
Silva is breathing heavily. Serrano decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva delivers a nice body kick. Serrano closes the distance and clinches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Serrano is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now. Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Serrano, which made it look bad. Crunch! Serrano slams his shin into Silva's torso. Serrano bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Silva's head. Serrano shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control! Silva sneaks out the side door and pushes Serrano away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serrano tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Silva moves into range and clinches up with Serrano. Serrano looking for a takedown. Serrano prevents a takedown attempt there.
Serrano could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Serrano drags the fight down to the ground.
Serrano has his hands on Silva's head, controlling the position. Freddie Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Serrano swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva being controlled here momentarily. Silva postures up.
Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Serrano, up you get! Serrano has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Salvador Serrano will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Serrano is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Serrano regains guard immediately. Serrano scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Serrano shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva feints the counter takedown. Silva dives in for a single leg takedown but Serrano sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Serrano lands a nice looking body shot.
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serrano gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Serrano is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Serrano tries to score a body lock takedown but Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Serrano tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Serrano uses from the top position. Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Serrano gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. Serrano rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage. Serrano has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Silva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Serrano wants to take the fight to the mat but Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Serrano tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage. Silva gets control of Serrano's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Serrano is one step ahead there. Serrano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Serrano has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Serrano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serrano lands a couple of digs. Serrano decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get! Silva moves into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Serrano lands a jab. Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Serrano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight! Salvador Serrano showed his dominance in that final round. I think Serrano has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
