Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brooke McMarshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sameh Habibi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brooke McMarshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sameh Habibi!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habibi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Habibi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McMarshall.

McMarshall moves into range and clinches up with Habibi.

McMarshall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McMarshall shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Habibi is pressing down on McMarshall's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Habibi controls McMarshall momentarily but McMarshall frees himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Habibi is on top in guard.

Habibi wants to control from the top but McMarshall keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Habibi wants to pass the guard but McMarshall is keeping the position.

McMarshall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Habibi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Habibi drops back looking for a leg! McMarshall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McMarshall manages to kick Habibi off! Habibi jumps back into McMarshall's guard.
Habibi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Habibi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Habibi tries to pass the half guard into mount. McMarshall knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McMarshall tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - McMarshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McMarshall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Habibi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McMarshall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McMarshall is looking to stand up but Habibi won't let him.

Habibi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McMarshall defends well.
Habibi has control of McMarshall's left arm, preventing McMarshall from doing any damage.

Habibi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McMarshall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McMarshall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Habibi on the ground.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McMarshall staying out of range there.

and Habibi counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Habibi has gone for a leg lock! McMarshall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Habibi's guard.

Habibi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McMarshall's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sameh Habibi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Habibi wants to finish this one by submission but McMarshall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Habibi.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McMarshall is bucking up trying to escape but Habibi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
McMarshall tries to hold on but Habibi pushes him away.

Habibi trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure McMarshall doesn't escape.

Habibi is working for a rear naked choke. McMarshall is not defending it well and Habibi has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! McMarshall refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of McMarshall's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sameh Habibi!
