Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otis Whittaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Otis Whittaker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Julian Day! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whittaker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Day. Whittaker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Day slips under a jab from Whittaker. Whittaker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Whittaker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Day takes a shot right to the bread basket. Whittaker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Whittaker throws a poor cross that misses
letting Day counter with a right hand. Whittaker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Whittaker missing with a left hand there. Day was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Whittaker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Day rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Day takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Day looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Good shot there by Whittaker. Good shot there by Day. Day blocks a jab. Day throws out a counter right but Whittaker avoids it with no problem. Whittaker moves out of range as Day strikes. Whittaker sends Day crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Whittaker is motioning to the referee to let Day up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Day is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Day loads up on a big right hand but Whittaker slips the punch. Day is still on wobbly legs! Can Whittaker finish him? Whittaker throws a looping overhand right but Day ducks down to avoid it. Day seems to have recovered his senses. Whittaker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Whittaker darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Day's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Whittaker before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Otis Whittaker! Otis Whittaker is the new heavyweight champion!
