Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ciro Ghetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angle Kurtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kurtis's choice of entrance music: Savages by Theory of a Deadman. Angle Kurtis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ciro Ghetta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Angle Kurtis! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ghetta feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kurtiss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Angle Kurtis has been cut. Ghetta lands a jab to the nose. Kurtis misses with a takedown attempt - Ghetta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. An attempted straight right counter from Ghetta misses the target. Kurtis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ghetta but Ghetta pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ghetta is looking to counter punch. Kurtis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ghetta as he avoids it easily. Ciro Ghetta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angle Kurtis. Ghetta scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kurtis doesn't seem bothered though. A shot to the liver by Ghetta. Beautiful body shot. Ghetta lands a head shot. Ghetta scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ghetta with a nice cross. Ghetta works Kurtis's body with a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kurtis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kurtis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ghetta displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kurtis. Kurtis looks winded! Kurtis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ghetta sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ghetta smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ghetta dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ghetta has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nice cross by Ghetta. Kurtis takes one on the button. Kurtis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ciro Ghetta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghetta dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ghetta connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kurtis. Kurtis circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kurtis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ghetta finds it's way round the side to connect with Kurtis's head. Ghetta connects with a single shot there. Ghetta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kurtis's head. Kurtis takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ghetta cracks Kurtis with an open hand slap. Ghetta scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kurtis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ghetta pinned against the cage. Ghetta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ghetta darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Ghetta's corner calls for a 1-2. Ghetta obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Ghetta is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Ghetta connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kurtis. Kurtis circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ghetta lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ghetta uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Angle Kurtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kurtis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ghetta tries to avoid it but Kurtis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ghetta to the ground. Ghetta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kurtis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ghetta lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Ghetta connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kurtis's hands. Kurtis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kurtis is rocked! Ghetta lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kurtis is still on wobbly legs! Can Ghetta finish him? Ghetta pounces like a tiger and cracks Kurtis with a vicious hook! Kurtis is down but not out! Ghetta follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ciro Ghetta! Angle Kurtis was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back'.
