Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harlan Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerry Andrews! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearson slips a jab and a cross from Andrews.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andrews but Andrews pushes him off and we're back to square one. Andrews throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pearson was covering up waiting for the punch and Andrews finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pearson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pearson feints and as Andrews raises his hands in defense, Pearson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Andrews can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pearson controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Andrews is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews is pulling down on Pearson's head. It's preventing any offense from Pearson, at least for the moment. Pearson won't allow Andrews to get back to his feet. Pearson stands up from Andrews's guard - Pearson perhaps looking for a knockout. Pearson misses with a takedown attempt - Andrews sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Andrews lands a two punch combo.
Nice sprawl there from Andrews as Pearson shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harlan Pearson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Andrews gets a clinch. Andrews breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Andrews throws a series of punches but Pearson avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andrews stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Andrews wants it to stay on the feet. Andrews fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pearson to the ground. Andrews is now in Pearson's guard. Andrews controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pearson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Andrews puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pearson is controlling Andrews's trapped leg to prevent Andrews from advancing to side control. Pearson taking some punishment here, with Andrews in his half guard. Pearson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Andrews not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pearson controlling the position well. Pearson has one foot on Andrews's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Andrews tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pearson was well out of range. Poor timing from Andrews. Andrews clinches with his opponent.
Andrews looks winded! Pearson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pearson looks for a takedown but Andrews sprawls well. Pearson forces Andrews back against the cage and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pearson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Andrews jumps into guard, dragging Pearson to the mat.
Pearson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pearson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Andrews being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pearson drops back looking for a leg! Andrews is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Andrews manages to kick Pearson off! Pearson jumps back into Andrews's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jerry Andrews dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
A combination from Andrews does no damage. Andrews shoots in and bounces Pearson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pearson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pearson trying to keep a closed guard but Andrews is proving a slippery customer.
Pearson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrews wants to control from the top but Pearson keeps moving. Pearson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Andrews must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pearson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Andrews wants to improve his position but Pearson is controlling well.
Pearson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pearson is working for a submission of some sort.
Pearson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Andrews's head. Andrews wants to get back to full guard. Andrews is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearson content to control rather than advance. Andrews avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pearson. Pearson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pearson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Andrews is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
