Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexandro Ortega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Farrar!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ortega looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Farrar keeps the fight on the outside.
Ortega tries to close the distance and clinch but Farrar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ortega lands a head kick!
Ortega tries to close the distance and clinch up but Farrar swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Farrar moves into range and clinches up with Ortega.
Ortega looking to throw knees to the head but Farrar is blocking nicely.

Ortega is bucking up trying to escape but Farrar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Farrar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

I looks like Farrar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Farrar is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Farrar is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Farrar gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Farrar gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Farrar apologises and we restart here on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
