Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hale comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Sara - Weatherman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Hale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beast! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hale throws out a loose jab but Beast uses good head movement to avoid it. Beast looks like he wants to counter punch here. Beast throws a jab when Hale was well out of range. Hale appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hale scores with a punch to the head. Beast blocks the body kick.
Hale misses with the body kick and Beast counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Billy Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hale slips under a jab. Beast swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big left from Hale misses. It seemed like Beast was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hale avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hale ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beast moves away. Beast looks for the body kick but Hale saw that one coming. Beast throws out a loose jab but Hale uses good head movement to avoid it. Beast lands a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hale connects with a jab. Hale throws a lazy head kick and Beast counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Billy Beast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hale scores with a hook to the body. Beast takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Beast misses the jab. Hale moves out of range of the body kick from Beast.
Beast looks to score with a jab to the body but Hale is just out of range. Hale connects with an inside leg kick. Hale slips under a jab from Beast. Beast thows a left - swing and a miss! Hale throws a leg kick but Beast checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast thows a body kick. Hale tries to catch it but that hurt him. Beast throws a series of punches but Hale moves out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beast throws a looping overhand right but Hale ducks down to avoid it. Beast misses with a left hand and Hale counters with a nice double leg into guard. Beast escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Beast is pulling down on Hale's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hale trying to control the position from guard on top but Beast is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Beast looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hale forces his way into half guard. Beast is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hale seems to be working for a kimura but Beast defends the submission attempt.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Beast looks to land a body kick but Hale moved away. Hale half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Hale throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beast looks to land a body kick but Hale moved away. Hale lands a leg kick that knocks Beast off balance momentarily. A left lands for Hale. Hale defending well as Beast loads up on a big left hand.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jab by Beast. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beast. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hale.
Hale takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Beast lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Beast is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Hale throws a body punch but Beast moves out of range. Nice sprawl there from Beast as Hale shoots in. Beast takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Beast connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hale sizes up Beast with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Beast throws a lazy uppercut
and Hale decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beast's guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Beast looking for a guillotine here but Hale defends easily.
Beast has control of Hale's left arm, preventing Hale from doing any damage. Hale is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Beast is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Beast has escaped and now he's on top! Beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Hale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Beast works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hale looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Beast controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hale trying to control but Beast postures up.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Beast keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hale is staying active underneath Beast, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hale is trying to control but can't.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hale misses with a lunging right hand
and Beast counters with a nice leg kick. Hale shoots and misses and Beast counters with a stiff right hand. Good work by Beast as he checks the leg kick. Beast swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Hale throws a hook to the side of Beast's head but Beast sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice uppercut there from Beast. Hale checks a leg kick. Beast is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hale had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Hale takes one to the side of the head.
Hale tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Beast is able to avoid easily. Beast swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Beast misses with an uppercut. Beast throws a hook but Hale blocks it. Beast checks a low kick from Hale. Hale fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Beast is out of range. Beast misses with a hook. Hale ducked under it nicely. Good standup being displayed there by Beast as he connects with a hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Beast has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
