Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mad Elk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasko Stefanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elk comes to the cage accompanied by Hunter. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mad Elk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nasko Stefanov! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elk walks into a stiff left hand from Stefanov. Elk decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stefanov won't allow Elk to pass to mount. Stefanov wants to control but Elk is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stefanov wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Stefanov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Stefanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Elk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stefanov is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Elk is thwarting Stefanov's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elk is looking for a kimura but Stefanov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Elk to get the leverage. Elk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Elk missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stefanov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Elk is working away from the top position though. Elk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stefanov wants to control but Elk passes into side.
Elk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Stefanov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stefanov is letting Elk control him for a moment. Elk working the ground and pound but Stefanov is defending the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stefanov is looking to reverse the position. Elk controlling from side mount. Elk's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Stefanov stops Elk from passing to mount. Elk tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Stefanov tries to buck Elk off but Elk is having none of it. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stefanov is looking to reverse the position. Stefanov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Elk remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Elk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee asks Elk politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Elk prefers to stall for the moment though. Further stalling from Elk. Stefanov is trying to control Elk's posture but Elk avoids it. Elk remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nice uppercut lands for Stefanov. That snapped Elk's head back.
Stefanov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stefanov's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stefanov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Stefanov digs a good hook to Elk's body.
Stefanov lands with a nice body punch. Stefanov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Elk. Elk circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Elk takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Elk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Stefanov works Elk's body with a nice hook. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stefanov lands a jab to the nose. Nice jab there from Stefanov. Stefanov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Elks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Stefanov scores with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nasko Stefanov dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nice takedown defense from Stefanov. No joy for Elk on that attempt. Stefanov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Elk on the side of the head. Mad Elk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stefanov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Elk. Elk tries to clinch but Stefanov moves out of range. Elk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Stefanov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Elk with a poor takedown and Stefanov counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mad Elk. That's going to take a lot out of him. That kick from Stefanov tenderised Elk's leg. Elk is trying to keep his angry face on. Stefanov throws a nice inside leg kick. Stefanov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Stefanov's corner calls for a 1-2. Stefanov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stefanov connects with a body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stefanov lands a body shot.
Stefanov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Elk has time to react. Stefanov jabs at Elk's body. Stefanov connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Elk is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Stefanov drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Elk right on the button. Elk goes down! Stefanov follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Stefanov gets the win via TKO!
