Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eye Humptrees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eye Humptrees!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Butcher!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butcher scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Butcher moves into range and clinches up with Humptrees.

Butcher gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Butcher with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Butcher wants to stand up but Humptrees is controlling the position.
Humptrees moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Butcher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Humptrees works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Butcher with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Butcher working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Humptrees looking for a guillotine here but Butcher defends easily.
Butcher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Butcher is looking to stand up but Humptrees won't let him.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Butcher works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Still in half guard, Butcher seems content to control.
Humptrees wants to control but Butcher is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Butcher prevents Humptrees from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butcher slips a nice elbow through Humptrees's hands, connecting with Humptrees's forehead.
Humptrees is trying to stand back up but Butcher is controlling him
Butcher tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Humptrees trying to control but Butcher postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Humptrees misses with a head kick.
Butcher shoots in but no luck this time.
Humptrees drops down looking for a counter takedown but Butcher sprawls and moves away.
Humptrees avoids a punch combination nicely.
Humptrees shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Butcher defends it nicely.
Humptrees closes the distance and clinches up with Butcher, looking for a takedown. Humptrees pushes Butcher against the cage but Butcher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Humptrees shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eye Humptrees. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Butcher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Butcher moves into the clinch successfully.

Butcher tightens his grip and picks Humptrees up, before dumping him to the ground. Humptrees manages to land in guard.

Butcher stands up over Humptrees, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Butcher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Humptrees had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Butcher defends it easily.
Humptrees is breathing heavily.
Butcher tries to stand but Humptrees is controlling from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Butcher is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Butcher dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Humptrees throws a head kick that misses.
Butcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Humptrees as he jumps to the side.
Humptrees doesn't manage to clinch there - Butcher circles away.
Humptrees shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Butcher pinned against the cage. Butcher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Humptrees is looking to clinch but Butcher is avoiding it.
Butcher wants to counter with a clinch but Humptrees pushes him away.
Humptrees darts in looking for a takedown but Butcher gets double underhooks and turns Humptrees into the cage.
Butcher shapes to counter with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Butcher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Butcher lands in his opponent's guard.
Butcher is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Humptrees controls Butcher momentarily but Butcher frees himself.
Butcher slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Humptrees is looking for a triangle here but Butcher uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Humptrees is looking to regain half guard here but Butcher keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Humptrees is trying to buck Butcher off.
A lull in the action here as Butcher stalls from top position.
Butcher has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Butcher wants to stand but Humptrees is controlling his arm.

Humptrees tries to improve position but can't.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Butcher controls the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Butcher fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Butcher tries to clinch but Humptrees moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Humptrees misses its target.
Humptrees throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Eye Humptrees is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Butcher avoids a kick to the body.
Despite the aggression on Butcher's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Butcher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Humptrees tries to avoid it but Butcher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Humptrees to the ground. Humptrees escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eye Humptrees has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Butcher.

Butcher closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Humptrees tries to buck Butcher off but Butcher is having none of it.
Humptrees is working hard here to advance position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Butcher tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Butcher gets to mount! Humptrees was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Butcher postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Humptrees looks a forlorn figure.

Bob Butcher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Humptrees shoots in for a takedown but Butcher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Butcher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Butcher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Butcher is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Butcher wants to stand but Humptrees is controlling the position.
Humptrees is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Butcher keeping moving, preventing Humptrees from controlling successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Humptrees shoots in looking for a takedown but Butcher manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Humptrees's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Butcher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Humptrees's waist but Humptrees gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Butcher off to one side.
Humptrees wants to clinch.
Butcher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Butcher shapes to counter with a head kick.
Butcher blocks a head kick by Humptrees.
Butcher throws a leg kick but Humptrees moved away.

Butcher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Humptrees, pushing him back against the cage.
Humptrees has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Butcher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Butcher jumps guard.

Butcher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Humptrees can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Humptrees trying to control the position from guard on top but Butcher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Butcher pulls Humptrees in close to his closed guard and prevents Humptrees from doing any damage or advancing position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Humptrees is fighting to break Butcher's control of his arms but Butcher is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Butcher has Humptrees up against the cage in a clinch.
Butcher can't get the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Humptrees is trying to stall.

Bob Butcher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Butcher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
