Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz comes to the cage accompanied by Badboy. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tito Ortiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Alan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz cracks Alan with a right hand to the side of the head. Alan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ortiz instigates a clinch. Alan wants a takedown but no success here.
Ortiz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Alan regains guard immediately. Ortiz wants to stand but Alan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ortiz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ortiz's back instead. Well, with Alan on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Ortiz is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Ortiz trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Alan working for the choke. Ortiz is trying to stand back up. Alan looking for the choke from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alan tightening his grip on Ortiz, looking for the choke. Alan looking for the RNC. Alan looks gassed! Alan has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Ortiz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Alan gets his way!
Ortiz tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Alan off. It looks like it's working - Alan slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Ortiz displaying calm under pressure there. Ortiz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tito Ortiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A solid body kick from Ortiz. Ortiz scores with the left hand. Alan knows he should have avoided that one. Alan slips a jab and a cross from Ortiz.
Alan swats away the attempt to clinch by Ortiz. Ortiz clinches up with Alan and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alan successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ortiz puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Alan is trying to get back to full guard. Ortiz gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Ortiz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alan, pushing him back against the cage. Ortiz tries to score a body lock takedown but Alan shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ortiz has clasped his hands together around Alan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ortiz looks up at the clock and then as Alan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ortiz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alan tries to buck Ortiz off but Ortiz is having none of it. Alan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alan is not content to let Ortiz control the position. Alan is trying to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ortiz wants to control for a moment but Alan uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tito Ortiz will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Both fighters circling a little - Ortiz finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Ortiz misses with a few strikes there.
Ortiz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alan clinches but Ortiz breaks the clinch and Ortiz counters with a stiff right hand. Ortiz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ortiz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ortiz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Alan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Alan has hold of one of Ortiz's legs. Ortiz is fighting the takedown attempt but Alan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. James Alan has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Alan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ortiz kicks Alan off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alan with a poor takedown and Ortiz counters with a straight right hand. Ortiz fails to land with a series of punches.
Ortiz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ortiz throws a right and a left that both miss. A big left from Ortiz misses. Alan fails with the takedown and Ortiz counters with a series of strikes. Alan will be more careful next time no doubt. Alan with a lazy takedown attempt and Ortiz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tito Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Alan. Ortiz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Alan fails with the takedown and Ortiz counters by clinching up. Alan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ortiz is stalling in the full guard. Ortiz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alan working for a triangle but Ortiz defends it easily.
Ortiz won't allow Alan to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alan is looking for a triangle here but Ortiz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Alan strikes from the bottom but Ortiz takes advantage and advances to full mount! Alan is looking to get to half guard. Ortiz tries to control but Alan wriggling away. Ortiz controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ortiz wants to control the pace but Alan is squirming around nicely. Alan working to try and regain half guard.
Ortiz trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tito Ortiz will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Alan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alan lands in his opponent's guard. Ortiz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alan on the ground. Ortiz can't keep his opponent in guard - Alan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ortiz wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ortiz sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are battling for position here. Ortiz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Alan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ortiz is keeping the position for now. Ortiz wriggles free and stands up. Ortiz misses with a jab, cross combination.

Very athletic spring there. Ortiz throws a right and a left that Alan avoids nicely.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Alan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alan prevents Ortiz from getting back to his feet. James Alan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ortiz trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Alan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to James Alan. I think Ortiz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
