The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira tries to bum rush Trevino with a series of wild strikes but Trevino uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Trevino tries to counter by clinching up but Oliveira breaks away and moves out of range.
Trevino blocks a head kick by Oliveira.
Oliveira lands a jab.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Oliveira.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trevino wants to control but Oliveira postures up.
Trevino tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Trevino throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Oliveira closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Trevino did well to prevent Oliveira getting side control.

Oliveira throws a left and a right that both miss

and Trevino counters with a shoot takedown. Oliveira fights it but they end up in guard.

Oliveira is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Trevino presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
