PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Carolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koko Glavata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carolla might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gotta Get It On from Taboo 2. Koko Glavata has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Koko Glavata!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carolla jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Glavata takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Glavata wants to clinch up but Carolla keeps it at a distance.

Carolla clinches.
Glavata is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carolla is defending well for now.

Carolla's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A jab lands there for Carolla.
Glavata doesn't manage to clinch there - Carolla circles away.
Glavata shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carolla sprawls well. Carolla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Glavata gets slowly back to his feet.
Glavata doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Carolla closes the distance and pushes Glavata back into the cage.

Carolla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Glavata shoots and misses
and Carolla counters with a one-two to the body.
Carolla works Glavata's body with a nice hook.
Glavata looks winded!
Carolla catches Glavata with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Glavata looks for a takedown but Carolla sprawls well.
Adam Carolla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koko Glavata.
Carolla lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carolla.
Carolla connects with a nice looking jab.
Glavata fails in his attempt to clinch.
Carolla scores with a nice head shot.

Carolla stuffs the takedown.
Carolla looks to land a combination. Glavata sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Carolla scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Glavata is rocked!
Glavata gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Carolla gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Glavata is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Carolla!
