Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 20 - 1, fighting out of London, Jack Stelling ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacques Diddles! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diddles tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stelling defends well and Diddles ends up having to push Stelling into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Stelling tries to clinch up but Diddles circles away and keeps his distance. Diddles thinks about the counter body kick. Diddles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Diddles throws a low kick but Stelling avoids it. No luck for Stelling with that takedown attempt. Diddles gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stelling is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stelling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Diddles darts in looking for a takedown but Stelling gets double underhooks and turns Diddles into the cage. Jack Stelling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacques Diddles. Diddles rushes Stelling and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stelling 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab from Stelling finds it's way through Diddles's defenses. Stelling looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Diddles! Diddles wants to get back to his feet but Stelling is dominant here and he's now got Diddles's back! Stelling tries to get the hooks in deep but Diddles pushed the leg off. Diddles tries to escape but Stelling has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Diddles rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Stelling is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diddles doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stelling . Diddles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stelling 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stelling 's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diddles is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Diddles has his arm under Stelling 's chin here. Game over son! Diddles squeezes tightly and Stelling is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jacques Diddles! Jack Stelling was interviewed post fight and said 'Don't Worries Fans, I Will Come Back And Win For My UK Fans'.
