The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hood defends well and Gordan ends up having to push Hood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hood has Gordan up against the cage in a clinch.
Hood lands with a right to the head.
Hood softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hood lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gordan backwards.
Gordan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hood pushes Gordan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gordan is trying to break the clinch but Hood is controlling him.
Hood lands an uppercut.
It looks like Marcus Gordan has been cut.
Gordan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hood to keep the fight standing.
Lucas Hood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Gordan.

Hood dips a shoulder and cracks Gordan with a mighty uppercut! Gordan falls back against the cage and Hood unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gordan is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hood screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
