Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Cotto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Marty Mcfly!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotto throws a low kick but Mcfly avoids it.
Mcfly checks the leg kick nicely there.
Mcfly throws a lazy uppercut
and Cotto counters with a nice body shot.
Cotto avoids the head kick by Mcfly.
Mcfly jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cotto slips under a jab from Mcfly.
Cotto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcfly.
Cotto lands a jab to the nose.
Mcfly keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mcfly ducks under a wild hook from Cotto.
Cotto moves into range and connects with a jab.
Mcfly connects with an inside leg kick.
Mcfly throws a hook to the side of Cotto's head but Cotto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cotto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcfly.
Cotto throwing a counter right hand but Mcfly manages to avoid it.
Cotto lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcfly works over Cotto's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Miguel Cotto has been cut.
Mcfly misses with a hook. Cotto ducked under it nicely.
Cotto looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cotto throws a hook to the side of Mcfly's head but Mcfly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mcfly on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcfly throws a low kick, looking for Cotto's leg but Cotto calmly moves out of range.
Cotto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Mcfly connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A low kick from Mcfly misses
letting Cotto counter with a right hand.
Cotto lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


Mcfly is rocked!
Cotto cracks a nice hook into Mcfly's ribs.
Mcfly lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cotto pounces like a tiger and cracks Mcfly with a vicious hook! Mcfly is down but not out! Cotto follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Miguel Cotto!
In his post fight interview, Miguel Cotto started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
