Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, dakota dman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, david kazul!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

kazul looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
dman keeping full guard, as kazul tries to pass.
kazul trying to control but dman is working from the bottom.
kazul is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
dman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for kazul!
dman trying to control but kazul is having none of it.
kazul tries to lock up and control but dman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

dman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
kazul slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
kazul preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
kazul is staying active underneath dman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
dman prevents kazul from improving his position.
kazul is refusing to be controlled, as dman sits in half guard.
kazul is holding on to half guard well.
kazul tries to roll over but dman keeps him under control.
dman is looking to take a break and control but kazul is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

kazul is looking to control dman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can kazul avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

kazul shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than kazul was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

kazul moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, dman has worked his arm free - good work by dman!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
kazul wants to take a breather but dman manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for kazul.
dman is breathing heavily.
dman can't keep his opponent in guard - kazul advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

david kazul dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


dman has his takedown stuffed
and kazul counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. dman is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and kazul counters with a one-two to the body.

kazul gets a takedown into half guard.
kazul thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed dman's head.
dman wants to control but kazul is keeping busy.

kazul stands up and beckons dman to join him on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

kazul tries to close the distance and clinch but dman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

kazul drives through with a takedown into guard.
kazul in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
dman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

kazul decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
dman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
david kazul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
kazul shoots in and drives through. dman sprawls well.
kazul throws a front kick that sends dman stumbling back into the cage.

kazul clinches with his opponent.

kazul gets control of dman's arms and successfully pulls guard. kazul will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
kazul tries to strike from the bottom.
kazul is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
dman wants to control from the top but kazul keeps moving.
kazul has his hands on dman's head, controlling the position.

Let's hope that kazul has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and kazul counters with a single leg into guard. dman didn't expect that.

kazul is taking a breather. dman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

kazul seems to be working for a kimura but dman defends the submission attempt.

dman kicks off kazul and gets to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
dman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
kazul fakes a jab and throws a low kick but dman checks it well.

kazul shoots in and bounces dman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
kazul postures up.

kazulis looking to pass into half guard but dman pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now dman is in guard.
kazul looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
dman trying to control but kazul is working from the bottom.
kazul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

kazul working for a triangle but dman defends it easily.
dman trying to control the position from guard on top but kazul is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
dman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

dman has gone for a leg lock! kazul slips out almost immediately though and dives into dman's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
kazul chips away with some ground and pound.
kazul is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

kazul drops back looking for a leg! dman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and dman manages to kick kazul off! kazul jumps back into dman's guard.
dman wants to sweep but no luck.

And that's the end of the fight!
david kazul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well kazul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
