Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Kuznetcov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lambert comes into the arena with Aaron Lewis - Country Boy blaring out of the sound system. Kuznetcov has chosen Eminem-Supermen as his entrance music. Andrey Kuznetcov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Lambert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Kuznetcov! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lambert shoots and misses and Kuznetcov counters with a straight right hand. Lambert fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A jab from Lambert misses. Kuznetcov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kuznetcov scores with a jab to the jaw. A punch combination from Kuznetcov misses. Lambert looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kuznetcov tests Lambert's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuznetcov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kuznetcov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lambert's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lambert looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kuznetcov! Lambert scoring with punches from side control. Lambert is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kuznetcov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Kuznetcov avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lambert. Kuznetcov is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kuznetcov being controlled for a moment. Kuznetcov is trying to control Lambert's posture but Lambert avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuznetcov pushes Lambert away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lambert gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lambert scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lambert is looking to take a break and control but Kuznetcov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lambert has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lambert lands an elbow. Lambert throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Lambert staying calm. Kuznetcov dodges the ground and pound from Lambert.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lambert working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Kuznetcov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Lambert working the ground and pound but Kuznetcov is defending the strikes. Kuznetcov can't do much from the bottom here. Lambert prevents Kuznetcov from escaping the position. Lambert is chipping away with strikes.
Kuznetcov dodges the ground and pound from Lambert. Lambert scores with punches from side control. Lambert looks up at the clock and then as Kuznetcov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lambert smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kuznetcov is looking for a sweep. Kuznetcov struggling a bit here. Lambert lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lambert fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuznetcov is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lambert cracks Kuznetcov with a big elbow. Lambert in side control, throwing shots but Kuznetcov defends. Kuznetcov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Kuznetcov is rocked! Lambert lands an elbow. Kuznetcov is still in real trouble! Can Lambert finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lambert works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lambert controlling the position from side mount. Lambert in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Kuznetcov looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Lambert turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
