Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dawid Jelinek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caua Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jelinek has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dawid Jelinek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Caua Azevedo!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Azevedo tries to counter with a clinch but Jelinek shakes him off and moves away.
Jelinek on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Azevedo wants to clinch up but Jelinek keeps it at a distance.
Jelinek takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Azevedo works over Jelinek's head and body with a nice combination.

Azevedo moves into the clinch.

Azevedo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jelinek looks for the body kick but Azevedo saw that one coming.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Azevedo breaks the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Azevedo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Azevedo misses with a jab, cross combination.

Azevedo clinches.
Jelinek is trying to push Azevedo away but Azevedo has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Jelinek is trying to force a seperation but Azevedo has the dominant position.
Jelinek is breathing heavily.
Jelinek trying to control the position but instead, Azevedo has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jelinek into the ropes.
Jelinek is trying to maintain a safe position but Azevedo gets an underhook and turns Jelinek into the ropes.
Jelinek can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Jelinek lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Azevedo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jelinek fails with an attempt to clinch.

Azevedo closes the distance and clinches.
Jelinek tries to break the clinch but Azevedo is controlling the position.
Azevedo has Jelinek pressed against the ropes, preventing Jelinek from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Azevedo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Azevedo doesn't manage to clinch there - Jelinek circles away.
Azevedo lands a jab-cross combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jelinek takes an elbow to the temple.

Azevedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Azevedo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jelinek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Jelinek tries to counter by clinching up but Azevedo breaks away and moves out of range.
Jelinek takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Azevedo breaks from the clinch.

Azevedo has closed the distance and engaged Jelinek in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Azevedo.
Azevedo throws a wild body kick that Jelinek sees coming a mile off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Azevedo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jelinek was well out of range. Poor timing from Azevedo.
Dawid Jelinek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Azevedo fakes the leg kick and cracks Jelinek in the body.

Azevedo clinches up with Jelinek and pushes him back against the ropes.

Azevedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Azevedo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jelinek takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Azevedo throws a hook to the side of Jelinek's head but Jelinek sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jelinek seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Azevedo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Azevedo just misses with a punch to the body.

Jelinek gets tackled into the ropes by Azevedo. Azevedo maintains the clinch.

Azevedo lands a knee to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azevedo just leaning against Jelinek, taking a breather.

Azevedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Azevedo scores with a head kick. Jelinek tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Jelinek looks to land a right hand but Azevedo moved out of range.
Azevedo swats away the attempt to clinch by Jelinek.
Azevedo looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Azevedo takes the fight into the clinch.
Azevedo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Caua Azevedo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Azevedo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jelinek paws at him with a jab and circles away.
As Azevedo tries to get set, Jelinek tries to push him back and clinch up but Azevedo manages to avoid the attempt.
Azevedo needs to keep his hands up - Jelinek had a free shot at his head there.
Azevedo keeps the fight on the outside.
Jelinek sets himself, and Azevedo steps forward looking for the clinch! Jelinek avoids it this time.

Azevedo struggles to land a body shot inside as Jelinek controls his hands.
Azevedo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jelinek is keeping busy.
Dawid Jelinek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Caua Azevedo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Azevedo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jelinek's elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Caua Azevedo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Azevedo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
