Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loyd Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret The Grinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Loyd Blackwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bret The Grinder! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Grinder dives in and scores a takedown into Blackwell's guard. The Grinder must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Blackwell thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Blackwell wants to stand up but The Grinder is controlling him. Blackwell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The Grinder controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The Grinder drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Grinder remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Blackwell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Blackwell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but The Grinder has just dragged him back down to the mat. Blackwell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blackwell seems a little lost for a moment, as The Grinder dominates the positioning. The Grinder cracks Blackwell with an elbow. That is naaassty. The Grinder taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Grinder blocks the strikes from Blackwell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The Grinder controls the position from side control. Blackwell sneaks out the side door and pushes The Grinder away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Grinder dives in and scores a takedown into Blackwell's guard. The Grinder slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The Grinder distracts Blackwell with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Grinder controlling from the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The Grinder postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The Grinder is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Blackwell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret The Grinder dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The Grinder moves into the clinch successfully.
Blackwell prevents a body shot from The Grinder. The Grinder is trying to trip Blackwell. He has hold of a leg but Blackwell is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. The Grinder persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The Grinder content to stall in guard here. Let's hope that The Grinder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Grinder is continuing to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. The adventures of The Grinder the control monster continue. Boring. The Grinder works over Blackwell with some ground and pound from guard. Bret The Grinder has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The Grinder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The Grinder looking to score a takedown here. Blackwell is defending well but The Grinder drives through and ends up in Blackwell's guard. The Grinder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The Grinder gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The Grinder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The Grinder can't find room to land a body shot as Blackwell controls the action.
The Grinder lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Blackwell backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Grinder gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The Grinder slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Blackwell is trying to escape the position but The Grinder is controlling the position. Blackwell prevents The Grinder from moving into mount. Blackwell explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The Grinder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blackwell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Blackwell sneaks out the side door and pushes The Grinder away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The Grinder closes the distance and clinches. Blackwell is trying to pull guard but The Grinder turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. The Grinder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Blackwell clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. What can Blackwell do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The Grinder scores with punches to the body. A bit of a pause in the action here. The Grinder controlling the positon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret The Grinder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Blackwell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Grinder to score an easy takedown into full guard. Blackwell pushes The Grinder off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The Grinder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blackwell circles away quickly and effectively. The Grinder closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Blackwell bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! The Grinder misses with an uppercut. The Grinder gets a clinch. The Grinder gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Blackwell pushes The Grinder off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Grinder dives in and scores a takedown into Blackwell's guard. The Grinder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The Grinder is stalling in the full guard. The Grinder scoring with some ground and pound. The Grinder controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for The Grinder. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. The Grinder landing some decent shots from guard. The Grinder sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Blackwell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Grinder defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Grinder has managed to clinch.

The Grinder lands a body shot. The Grinder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Blackwell clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The Grinder really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Blackwell.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bret The Grinder. Well The Grinder has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
