Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepard drops Hoover with a left right combo! Shepard follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Rock Hoover has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hoover tries to improve position but can't.
Shepard working away.
Hoover tries to buck Shepard off but Shepard is having none of it.
Hoover is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Shepard stands up and beckons Hoover to his feet.
Shepard uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Shepard connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That has opened up Rock Hoover's cut even more.
Nice takedown defense from Shepard. No joy for Hoover on that attempt.
Hoover looks gassed!
Hoover ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shepard moves away.
Shepard throws a left that rocks Hoover and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Shepard dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Hoover regain composure!
Hoover is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shepard has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hoover is still on wobbly legs! Can Shepard finish him?
Shepard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hoover seems to have recovered his senses.
Shepard connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rock Hoover's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rock Hoover's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alan Shepard!
