Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivar Romalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivar Romalho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Serra! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serra tries for a takedown but Romalho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Serra pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Romalho tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Serra manages to circle out of the way. Romalho looking to score a takedown here. Serra is defending well but Romalho drives through and ends up in Serra's guard. Romalho sitting in guard, not really doing much. Serra tries to land a sweep but no joy. Serra pulls Romalho in close to prevent any damage. Serra had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Romalho defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romalho being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romalho is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Romalho wants to control from the top but Serra keeps moving. Serra looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Serra dives in for a single leg takedown but Romalho sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Serra fails with the takedown. Ivar Romalho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Serra.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Romalho tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Romalho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Serra wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Romalho manages to pass to side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Serra can do anything to dispel that myth. Serra wants to control but Romalho is keeping busy.
Romalho content to control rather than advance. Serra looking for submissions off his back. Serra looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romalho is just content to waste time from the top position. Serra takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Serra working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Romalho has passed into half guard!
Romalho not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Romalho missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Serra works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Romalho looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Romalho is pushing down on Serra's leg trying to pass to half guard. Serra is fighting to maintain full guard but Romalho has managed to sneak the leg through. Romalho slows the pace down in half guard. Romalho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Serra does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! It looks like Romalho is going to stand back up.

Ivar Romalho dominated that round. That's time! Romalho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Serra shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Romalho but Romalho pushes him off and we're back to square one. Romalho's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Serra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Romalho scrambles back to his feet. Romalho misses with a body kick. Romalho throws a leg kick that is checked and Serra counters with a takedown into side control. Ivar Romalho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Romalho manages to work his way to half guard, despite Serra's best efforts. Romalho moves into full guard.
Romalho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Serra is aware though and is defending well. Romalho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Serra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Romalho swivels though and keeps the full guard. Romalho is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Serra can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Romalho preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Romalho throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Romalho tries to land a sweep but no joy. Serra wants to stand and escape but instead Romalho has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Serra is looking for a triangle but Romalho pushes his legs off easily.
Romalho avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Serra is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Serra keeping full guard, as Romalho tries to pass. Romalho content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Romalho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Serra keeping moving, preventing Romalho from controlling successfully. Serra is controlling Romalho's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romalho controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Romalho trying to control the position from guard on top but Serra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Serra shoots in for a takedown but Romalho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Romalho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Serra to the mat! Serra manages to get full guard. Serra wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Romalho manages to pass to side control. Still in half guard, Romalho seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romalho wants to control but Serra is keeping him busy. Serra is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Romalho controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romalho tries to clinch up but Serra circles away and keeps his distance. Serra throws a head kick but Romalho moves out of range.
Serra throws a right and a left that Romalho avoids nicely. Serra misses with a few strikes there.

Romalho is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Serra will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Romalho lands some shots froms side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romalho controls the position. Serra takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Romalho advances nicely into full mount. Romalho tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romalho can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Serra is looking to escape. Romalho moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Serra has worked his arm free - good work by Serra!
Romalho fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Serra is not content to let Romalho control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Serra is looking for a sweep. Romalho content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Romalho working the ground and pound but Serra is defending the strikes. Serra is not content to let Romalho control the position. Serra is trying to buck Romalho off.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romalho closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Serra did well to prevent Romalho getting side control. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Serra tries to get to full guard but Romalho has control of the leg. Romalho has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Serra swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serra tries to get back to half guard but can't. Romalho manages to capitalize on a mistake by Serra to take his back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Serra is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Serra just trying to survive but Romalho is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivar Romalho showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Romalho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
