Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John MacLeary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Diamond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John MacLeary! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diamond takes one to the chin there. We've been hearing reports that Diamond has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Diamond takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
MacLeary looks to land a combination. Diamond sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. MacLeary bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. MacLeary swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. MacLeary takes a swing at Diamond's ribcage but misses. Diamond closes the distance and clinches. MacLeary has a couple of punches blocked by Diamond.
MacLeary is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for MacLeary. Diamond misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from MacLeary.
A head punch on the inside from MacLeary fails to land. MacLeary lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Diamond missing with knees to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diamond controlling the action here for a moment.

Diamond is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. MacLeary is defending well for now. Diamond misses with a knee to the head.

Diamond works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diamond is stalling in the full guard. Diamond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diamond has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Diamond throws a big right hand that misses. Diamond throwing strikes from guard but MacLeary blocks nicely. MacLeary utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Diamond is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. John MacLeary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacLeary scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diamond clinches up against the cage. MacLeary tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Diamond drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Diamond has dropped down and is working for a takedown. MacLeary is trying to keep an underhook but Diamond manages to get the takedown into half guard. MacLeary tries to kick Diamond off but Diamond keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Diamond is sneakily working for an arm triangle but MacLeary sees it coming and defends easily. Diamond seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Diamond stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diamond lands strikes from half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diamond in particular looking to stall. Diamond wants to work for an arm triangle but MacLeary is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Diamond content to control rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John MacLeary will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sloppy strikes from MacLeary. Those never looked like landing. Diamond has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from MacLeary finds it's way round the side to connect with Diamond's head. Diamond avoids the body shot from MacLeary.
Diamond is looking to counter the offense by MacLeary and move into the clinch. MacLeary has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. MacLeary lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A left and a right from Diamond both land. Nice combination.
It looks like John MacLeary has been cut. MacLeary lands with a straight right. Diamond didn't see that one coming. Diamond takes one to the side of the head.

and Diamond counters by moving into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! MacLeary swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Diamond blocks a body shot from MacLeary. We've been informed that MacLeary has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. MacLeary misses with the head strike.
MacLeary is trying to force a seperation but Diamond has the dominant position. Diamond has clasped his hands together around MacLeary's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Diamond advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacLeary defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Diamond. Diamond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diamond wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Diamond controlling from the full mount. King Diamond overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Diamond looking to finish MacLeary with some ground and pound. This is bad for MacLeary! MacLeary is trying to stand. Diamond controlling the pace for now. Diamond lands with some strikes.

Diamond jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but MacLeary manages to avoid the submission attempt. MacLeary taking a bit of punishment here - Diamond scoring with strikes. MacLeary takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
MacLeary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diamond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. MacLeary takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
MacLeary is rocked! Diamond in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and MacLeary looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Diamond turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
