Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Garrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bart Paw!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrison closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paw circles away.
Paw with the counter takedown but Garrison avoids it easily.

Garrison darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Paw manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Garrison shoots in for a takedown but Paw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Garrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paw is looking for a sweep.

Garrison wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Paw, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Garrison's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Garrison tries for a kimura but Paw is defending well.

Paw tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garrison wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Garrison working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Paw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Paw is looking to regain half guard here but Garrison keeps moving and retains side control.

Garrison has hold of Paw's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Paw tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Garrison cranks the arm and Paw screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Paw, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ken Garrison!
