Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chiku Maneno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dead comes into the arena with Death March - Motionless in White blaring out of the sound system. Chiku Maneno is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiku Maneno!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead throws a jab when Maneno was well out of range.
Dead takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A jab from Maneno misses.
Dead misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Maneno releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Maneno connects with a body shot that sends Dead's belly button to the back.
Dead getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Maneno scores with a body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Maneno, as that shot connected.
Dead throws out a loose jab but Maneno uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maneno swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Maneno has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dead throws a head kick that misses.
Dead keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dead throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Maneno now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Maneno getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Dead rushes Maneno and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dead breaks the clinch.
Dead throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Maneno appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Dead has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) in the buildup to the fight.

Dead throws a looping overhand right but Maneno ducks down to avoid it.
Maneno swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dead misses with a two punch combination.
Dead tries to clinch there but Maneno circles away.
Dead lands the left hand.
Dead lands a jab to the nose.
Dead's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Maneno connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dead scrambles back to his feet.
Maneno lands a jab.
Better Dead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dead is looking to clinch but Maneno is avoiding it.
Maneno lands with an overhand left.

Dead is rocked!
Maneno jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dead throws a jab when Maneno was well out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Maneno! But no joy.

Dead clinches up against the cage.
Dead keeps control of Maneno as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Maneno's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dead escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dead pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dead throws a hook but Maneno blocks it.
Dead takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Maneno ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dead tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dead misses with a head kick.
Dead looks to land a right hand but Maneno moved out of range.
Chiku Maneno is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dead throws the left hand but Maneno avoids the punch easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Maneno misses.
Dead throws a head kick that misses.
Dead looks to clinch
and Maneno counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dead loads up on a big right hand but Maneno slips the punch.
Nice straight punches there by Maneno. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Maneno.
Maneno lands a nice looking body shot.
Maneno with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dead to score with a decent uppercut.
Dead slips a jab from Maneno.
Dead gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Maneno sends Dead crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Maneno is motioning to the referee to let Dead up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Dead is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maneno dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maneno cracks Dead on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Dead falls backwards against the cage. Maneno follows up with more strikes that drop Dead to his knees. Maneno keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Dead! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chiku Maneno!
Chiku Maneno decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
