Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali Magomedov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson tries to clinch but Magomedov moves out of range.
Magomedov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Davidson looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Magomedov scores with a head kick.

It looks like Nigel Davidson has been cut.
Davidson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Davidson throws a low kick but Magomedov avoids it.
Ali Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magomedov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Davidson rushes Magomedov and presses him up against the cage.
Davidson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Davidson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Magomedov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedov throws a series of punches but Davidson avoids them all with ease.
Magomedov throws a sloppy head kick and Davidson moves out of range easily.
Davidson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Magomedov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Magomedov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Davidson appears to be looking for a big counter.

Nice takedown defense from Magomedov. No joy for Davidson on that attempt.
Magomedov circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Davidson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Magomedov follows Davidson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
