Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timur Rubin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nickey Spillane! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Spillane. Spillane punishes Rubin's body with a nice straight punch. Rubin moves out of range as Spillane throws a body kick.
Spillane avoids the body shot from Rubin.
Spillane looks to land a left hand but Rubin moved out of range nicely. Rubin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Rubin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Spillane jabbing away but nothing is landing. Spillane looks to land a left hand but Rubin moved out of range nicely. Rubin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Spillane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spillane is not content to let Rubin control the position. Rubin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Spillane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rubin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spillane is trying to work for a sweep but Rubin has mounted him! Spillane blocking the ground and pound. Rubin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spillane looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Spillane's face.
Spillane tries to lock up and control but Rubin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Spillane is trying desperately to improve position. Rubin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Spillane is rocked! Rubin lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Spillane! Rubin sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Spillane and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Timur Rubin! Timur Rubin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
