Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfredo Leija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leija kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Original Nuttah. Alfredo Leija could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to George Mendez's chin.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leija pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mendez is out of range and Leija settles back down.
Mendez has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Leija with a jab.
Mendez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mendez misses with a straight left.
Leija throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mendez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mendez.
Mendez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Leija 's head backwards.
Leija displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mendez throws out the jab.
Leija avoids the body shot from Mendez.
Leija fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mendez just manages to avoid it.
Leija takes one to the chin there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mendez throws a big shot that misses.
Mendez moves out of range as Leija strikes.
Mendez works Leija 's body with a nice hook.
Mendez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like George Mendez has been cut.

Leija does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mendez throws out a counter right but Leija avoids it with no problem.
Mendez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Leija definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mendez scores with a jab.
A slow jab from Mendez misses its intended target.
Mendez throws an off balance right hand
and Leija connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mendez throws the left hand but Leija avoids the punch easily.
Leija throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leija dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mendez. That did some damage!
Mendez misses with a looping left.
Leija bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mendez's head.
Mendez misses with a straight left.
Mendez swings widly with a right hand
and Leija counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Leija feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mendez's calf.
Leija uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mendez.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Mendez misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leija lands with a cross.
Leija steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mendez.
Mendez cracks Leija with a good jab.
Mendez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mendez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Leija moves away from the strike by Mendez.
Mendez throws a jab but it's blocked by Leija .
Leija tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mendez is able to avoid easily.
Mendez avoids the head kick by Leija .
Mendez thuds a left hand into Leija 's body.
Mendez blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice defenses there by Leija .
Mendez misses with a series of wild punches.

Danga de danga de dang - Mendez scores with a four punch combination!
Mendez connects with a single shot there.
Leija throws an off balance right hand
and Mendez counters with a nice right hand that sends Leija toppling to the canvas! Leija scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Mendez finish him?!
Leija is rocked!
Leija uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mendez.
A little feinted left hand from Leija on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Oh Leija is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Leija is holding his hands too far apart here. Mendez throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Leija is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
