Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavius Odoacer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Odoacer's choice of entrance music: Turn it up(Shine On) Chamillionaire . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton moves out of range of the strikes.

We've been told by Newton's head coaches at Aaron's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Newton throws a sloppy head kick
and Odoacer counters with a left and a right that stings Newton.
Odoacer throws a jab but it's blocked by Newton.

Newton looks to land a body kick but Odoacer moved away.
It seemed like Odoacer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Newton throws a shot from downtown. Odoacer moves away and avoids it.

Newton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Odoacer manages to avoid it.

Odoacer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Newton connects with a leg kick. Odoacer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Odoacer holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round but I would say that Aaron Newton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Odoacer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
