PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luh Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Hanes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Guy Hanes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luh Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Guy Hanes!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hanes blocks a head kick by Sosa.
Sosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hanes.
Guy Hanes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sosa slaps away a takedown attempt from Hanes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sosa is looking for a counter combo.
Hanes dives in and grabs Sosa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sosa pushes down on Hanes's head and hops out.
Sosa went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Luh Sosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guy Hanes.
Hanes swats away the attempt to clinch by Sosa.
Sosa lands a head kick. Hanes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sosa fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hanes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hanes working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Sosa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hanes on the ground.

Hanes is trying to get an arm triangle but Sosa is defending well.
Sosa is pushing Hanes's head away, looking to escape. Hanes manages to hold on to the position though.

Hanes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hanes has an Americana. Sosa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hanes is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hanes hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
