Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Petrycki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sata comes to the cage accompanied by Onward to Victory!. Bogdan Petrycki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Akiro Sata's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akiro Sata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogdan Petrycki! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrycki misses the shot to the body. It looked like Sata was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Petrycki. Petrycki throws out a leg kick but Sata moves out of range and Petrycki only half commits. Sata displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrycki throws out the jab. Petrycki throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Sata stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sata moves in looking to clinch but Petrycki pushes him off. Petrycki slips a jab and a cross from Sata.
Sata checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sata moves into the clinch successfully.
Sata lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Petrycki wants to get back to his feet.
Sata is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sata is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Petrycki is trying to get back to full guard. Sata prevents Petrycki from standing back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sata swings for the body but Petrycki moves out of range.

Sata walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sata lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Bogdan Petrycki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Petrycki leaves Sata with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sata shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Petrycki is trying to defend but Sata finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Petrycki kicks Sata off and gets back to his feet. Petrycki takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Petrycki scores with a hook. Sata fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Petrycki misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sata smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Petrycki swings away with a leg kick that misses. Petrycki does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Petrycki tries a head kick but it misses.
Petrycki's coach down at Wreckshop was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Petrycki's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sata lands with a kick to the temple. Petrycki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Petrycki ducks under a wild hook from Sata. Sata swats away the attempt to clinch by Petrycki. Petrycki takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Petrycki throws a head kick but Sata moves out of range.
Sata uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Petrycki.

Sata scores with a decent looking hook. Petrycki tries to clinch there but Sata circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Akiro Sata will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sata tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Petrycki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sata's jab looks to have found its range, popping Petrycki under the eye. Sata throws a series of punches but Petrycki avoids them all with ease. Sata moves into the clinch successfully.
Petrycki misses with a hook to the ribs.
Petrycki tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sata's elbow. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sata. Petrycki has a couple of punches blocked by Sata.
Petrycki stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Petrycki. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrycki is defending well against a takedown attempt. Petrycki throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Petrycki working aggressively here.

A short uppercut from Petrycki. Sata is trying to pull guard but Petrycki turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Sata throws a punch but it's blocked by Petrycki. I was talking to Sata's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Petrycki prevents a body shot from Sata. Petrycki tries a body shot but Sata blocks it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Petrycki. Petrycki fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Sata tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrycki connects with a solid leg kick. Petrycki throws a sloppy head kick and Sata moves out of range easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sata. Sata scores with a decent looking hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sata lands a nice hook to Petrycki's body. Petrycki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Petrycki thuds his right hand into Sata's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Akiro Sata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petrycki keeps the fight on the outside. Petrycki doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Petrycki throws a nice looking combination but Sata bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Petrycki swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sata is rocked! Sata is looking to clinch. Oh Sata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrycki throws a solid leg kick but Sata takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Petrycki. Petrycki scores with the left hand. Sata knows he should have avoided that one. Good work by Petrycki as he checks the leg kick. Petrycki looks to land a left hand but Sata moved out of range nicely. Sata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrycki tries to avoid it but Sata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrycki to the ground. Petrycki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sata scores with a spinning back kick! Petrycki throws a head kick that misses. Sata seems to have got his legs back now. Sata takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A nice combination there by Sata.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sata. Petrycki does a little dance to reset his feet. Sata throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Petrycki's waist but Petrycki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sata off to one side. Sata gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sata gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A right hook to the body lands for Sata.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sata goes for a takedown attempt but Petrycki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sata swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Petrycki throws a poor cross that misses
and Sata counters with a stiff right hand. Petrycki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sata. Sata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrycki keeps the fight on the outside. A head kick from Sata lands but Petrycki takes it in his stride. Petrycki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Petrycki works over Sata's head and body with a nice combination. Petrycki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sata sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sata tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Petrycki lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sata takes a step back to recover. Petrycki scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Petrycki lands a nice hook to Sata's body. Sata takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bogdan Petrycki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Petrycki wants to stand but Sata is controlling the position. Sata with a flurry of punches that miss. Sata pushing down on Petrycki's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Petrycki trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Petrycki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Petrycki throws a push kick but Sata slaps the foot to one side. Sata changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sata tries to clinch up but Petrycki circles away and keeps his distance. Petrycki let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Sata keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
