Gehrig throws a sloppy head kick and Pippen moves out of range easily.
Gehrig moves in looking to clinch but Pippen pushes him off.
Gehrig looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gehrig throws a right hand that Pippen ducks under and follows up with a left that Pippen also avoids with ease.
Pippen scores with a takedown into Gehrig's guard.
Pippen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pippen wants to control from the top but Gehrig keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pippen drops back looking for a leg! Gehrig is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gehrig manages to kick Pippen off! Pippen jumps back into Gehrig's guard.
Gehrig looks gassed!
Pippen wants to control from the top but Gehrig keeps moving.

Pippen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gehrig's guard.
Gehrig is refusing to be controlled, as Pippen sits in half guard.
Pippen has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gehrig defend it? Pippen steps over the head and cranks it - Gehrig is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pippen!
