Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Macias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Jay Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martins has chosen bloody in my eyes as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Jay Martins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martins gets a takedown into half guard.
Macias is positioning himself well to prevent Martins advancing to mount.
Macias is not content to let Martins control the position.
Martins tries to pass the half guard into mount. Macias knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macias is pressing down on Martins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Macias pushes Martins off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

That was a close round but I would say that Dave Macias will probably get the nod.

Jay Jay Martins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Macias tries to buck Martins off but Martins is having none of it.

Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee asks Martins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Martins prefers to stall for the moment though.

Martins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Macias haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Martins gets caught napping as Macias dives in and scores a takedown. Martins manages to retain guard.
Macias has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Martins is proving hard to escape from.
Macias throws a strike but Martins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Martins wants to control from the top but Macias keeps moving.
Macias working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Martins.

Jay Jay Martins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Martins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
