Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Skeng Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erland Eliasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eliasson has chosen Radioactive - Imagine Dragons as his entrance music. Erland Eliasson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Skeng Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erland Eliasson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eliasson loads up on a big right hand but Man slips the punch. Man appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Man shoots for a takedown but Eliasson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Man doesn't succeed with the takedown and Eliasson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Man avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Eliasson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Man misses with a takedown attempt and Eliasson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skeng Man. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eliasson throws a jab when Man was well out of range. Man steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Eliasson. Man tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eliasson swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Man. Eliasson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Eliasson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. A short right from Eliasson. Man drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Eliasson lands with a left to the head. Man gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Eliasson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Eliasson trying to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eliasson can do anything to dispel that myth. Man throws a big elbow that misses.

Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Man is working hard here to advance position. Man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Man drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Man jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Man throws a big elbow that misses. Man is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Man with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Man fails with the takedown and Eliasson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Man tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eliasson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Man somewhat. Eliasson throws a lazy uppercut
and Man counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Man. Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Eliasson is retaining full guard. Eliasson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Erland Eliasson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Eliasson breaks the clinch.
Skeng Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Man darts in trying to clinch and Eliasson counters with a three punch combo that has Man backing up. Man nods at Eliasson to acknowledge the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man tries to clinch there but Eliasson circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Man is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Eliasson's half guard. Man is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Man looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Man wants to work for an arm triangle but Eliasson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Man is thwarting Eliasson's attempts to control the position. Man is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Eliasson has managed to free his arm - good work. Eliasson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Man is working away from the top position though. Man wants to work for an arm triangle but Eliasson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Eliasson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Man. Eliasson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Eliasson wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.

Nice strikes from Man there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Man thows a huge punch but Eliasson dodges it nicely.

Skeng Man dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Man fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Eliasson to the ground. Man is now in Eliasson's guard. Man stands up over Eliasson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are working up against the cage. Eliasson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Man takes a shot to the head. Man tries to pull guard but Eliasson won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Man jumps guard but Eliasson stands there with Man around his waist. Man gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Man drops down looking for an ankle pick but Eliasson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Man slips under a jab. Man fails with the takedown enabling Eliasson to counter with a crisp jab. Eliasson takes a swing at Man's ribcage but misses. Erland Eliasson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Eliasson lands a hook that stumbles Man back into the cage. Eliasson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Man to the canvas! Eliasson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Man has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
