Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Frank Gibiatti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Miles Cox!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Gibiatti tenderised Cox's leg. Cox is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cox rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gibiatti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gibiatti swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gibiatti connects with a jab.
Gibiatti scores with a leg kick.
Cox walks into a left hand.
Gibiatti throws a shot to the body.
Cox throws a right hand that misses

and Gibiatti counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cox!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gibiatti connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cox some visible discomfort.
Gibiatti lands a few punches from side control.
Gibiatti prevents Cox from escaping the position.
Gibiatti working the body and head with strikes.
Cox is trying to get back to half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Gibiatti's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gibiatti lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cox down.
Cox takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.


Cox is rocked!
Cox is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gibiatti asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Cox is still in real trouble! Can Gibiatti finish him?
Gibiatti working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Gibiatti has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cox tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cox seems to have recovered his senses.
Cox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gibiatti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gibiatti scores with a couple of short elbows.
Cox is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cox tries to bench press Gibiatti off him but Gibiatti keeps the position.
Gibiatti is putting a hurting on Cox here, landing some big shots from side control.
Gibiatti lands an elbow.
Cox tries to improve position but can't.
Cox takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gibiatti lands a big left to the face of Cox, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Gibiatti and another - Cox is out! Gibiatti stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Frank Gibiatti!
Frank Gibiatti spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
