Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Marcy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mournfully Singing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lance Marcy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mournfully Singing! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcy throws a leg kick that is checked and Singing counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Marcy throws a nice looking combination but Singing bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Singing doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Marcy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lance Marcy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Singing lands a nice looking body shot.
Singing throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marcy's waist but Marcy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Singing off to one side. Marcy is looking to counter with head kicks. Singing moves out of range of the strikes. Marcy throws a sloppy head kick and Singing counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Marcy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Marcy lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Mournfully Singing has been cut. Singing drives through and clinches with Marcy against the cage.

Marcy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marcy throws a leg kick but Singing checks it. Singing let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Marcy looks for a takedown but Singing sprawls well. Singing tries for a takedown but Marcy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Marcy throwing a counter right hand but Singing manages to avoid it. Marcy throws a low kick, looking for Singing's leg but Singing calmly moves out of range. Marcy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Singing under the eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcy ducks under a wild hook from Singing. Some bone on bone action there as Singing checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Singing will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marcy misses with a kick to the body and Singing counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marcy thinking. Marcy tries to sprawl but Singing drives through with a takedown into half guard. Marcy has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Singing is on him like a limpet, forcing Marcy back against the cage. Marcy pulls Singing into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marcy looking for a guillotine here but Singing defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Singing can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Singing advances position into side control! Singing looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Marcy struggling a bit here. Marcy throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Some wild striking there from Marcy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Singing gets a double leg takedown into Marcy's guard. Marcy is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Singing presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Singing can't find room to land a body shot as Marcy controls the action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Marcy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Marcy throws a sloppy head kick and Singing moves out of range easily. Singing moves into the clinch. Singing tries to work over Marcy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Marcy blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Singing lands with a good body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A head kick misses from Marcy. Singing ducks under a wild hook from Marcy. Singing takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Marcy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Singing counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marcy is looking to score with low kicks. Marcy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Marcy misses with a two punch combination.
Singing now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Singing paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Singing throws a lazy right hand but Marcy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Singing has taken the fight to the clinch.

Marcy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Singing gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Marcy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Singing walks away with a smile on his face. Marcy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Marcy. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Singing changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Marcy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Singing checks it well. Singing slips under a jab from Marcy. Singing moves out of range of the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lance Marcy dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mournfully Singing's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Singing tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Marcy wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Marcy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Singing is trying to control. Marcy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Singing passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Marcy! Singing looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marcy holds on to Singing as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Singing jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Marcy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Marcy and Singing has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Singing working away. Marcy sneaks out the side door and pushes Singing away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Singing is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Marcy rather than just go for the knockout. That's four minutes gone in the round. Marcy catches Singing with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! This has been an exciting period of action! Singing lands a slapping body shot.

Singing fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Singing sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Lance Marcy is winning the standup battle so far. Marcy tried to score with a low kick but Singing checks it. Singing throws a series of punches but Marcy avoids them all with ease. Marcy takes a swing at Singing's ribcage but misses. Singing tests Marcy's chin there with a solid looking shot. Singing moves out of range as Marcy strikes. Marcy tries to land a leg kick but Singing saw it coming and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mournfully Singing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mournfully Singing's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Singing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Singing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
