The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Jokela.
Jokela looks for a takedown but Stanfield sprawls well.
Stanfield dips to his left and cracks Jokela with an uppercut!
Jokela closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stanfield circles away.
Stanfield connects with a right hand. Jokela shakes it off.
Sloppy strikes from Stanfield. Those never looked like landing.
Stanfield throws a nice head kick!
Jokela takes one to the side of the head.
Stanfield cracks Jokela with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

We've been informed that Jokela has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Stanfield lands with a hook. Jokela tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jokela shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stanfield defends it nicely.
Marlo Stanfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jukka Jokela.
