The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luther lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Luther uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abrantes.
Abrantes misses with a straight right.
We've been informed that Abrantes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Luther defending well as Abrantes loads up on a big left hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Luther, as that shot connected.
Luther scores with a shot to the body.
Tacito Abrantes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luther cracks Abrantes with a right hand to the side of the head.

Luther goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

A looping hook to the body misses from Abrantes. Luther does a little dance to reset his feet.
Luther throws a series of punches but Abrantes avoids them all with ease.
Abrantes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Luther throws an overhand right that lands on Abrantes's shoulder, as Abrantes tries to avoid the shot.

Abrantes swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Abrantes looks to land a combination but Luther avoids it well.

Luther looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Abrantes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Luther. Luther circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Luther jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Luther moves out of range as Abrantes strikes.
Donk. Abrantes catches Luther right on the button with a cross.
Luther uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Abrantes has time to react.
Luther misses with a lunging right hand
and Abrantes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Abrantes throws a body shot but no joy.

Luther tries to clinch but Abrantes is having none of it.

Luther is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Luther throws a nice looking combination but Abrantes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Luther tries to counter with a takedown but Abrantes is quick to defend against it.
Sloppy strikes from Abrantes. Those never looked like landing.
Abrantes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Luther.
Abrantes slips a jab and a cross from Luther.
Luther takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Luther lunges at Abrantes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Abrantes's hand.
The fighters circling - Abrantes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Luther feinted with a counter takedown.
Luther walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Abrantes drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Luther swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Abrantes's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
