The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aureus has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aureus is pressed up against the cage. Jorge has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aureus down to the mat. Aureus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Aureus looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jorge is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Aureus dives into side control.

Aureus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jorge is trying to get back to half guard.

Jorge reaches up around Aureus's neck trying to control. But Aureus takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Jorge! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Jorge is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Aureus celebrates the victory with the fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Staph Aureus!
Staph Aureus decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Edsel Jorge stepped up to the mic, saying 'ill be back'.
