Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vic Slovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stop War (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stop War struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vic Slovsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stop War! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Slovsky tries to sprawl but War drives through with a takedown into half guard. Slovsky wants to improve his position but War is controlling well.
Slovsky regains full guard. Nicely done. Slovsky wants to sweep here but War controlling him for the moment. War stands up from guard. Let's bang! Slovsky has War up against the cage in a clinch.
Slovsky has War pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Slovsky pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending War tumbling to the mat - Slovsky dives into War's guard. War wants to sweep here but Slovsky controlling him for the moment. Slovsky won't allow War to get back to his feet. Slovsky slips nicely into half guard. War is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slovsky's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slovsky's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Slovsky is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
War looks winded! Slovsky is in bad spot here.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Slovsky. Slovsky advances to half guard. Slovsky tries to pass the half guard into mount. War knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. War trying to control from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Slovsky. War tries to kick Slovsky off but Slovsky keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Slovsky escapes and gets back to his feet. Slovsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Slovsky gets to his feet. War looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! This has been an exciting period of action! Slovsky dives in and scores a takedown into War's guard. Slovsky slips nicely into half guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! War tries to roll over but Slovsky keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. War is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Slovsky is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! War is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
