Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Hensley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Khanidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohamed Khanidov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Hensley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohamed Khanidov!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khanidov closes the distance and clinches up with Hensley, looking for a takedown. Khanidov pushes Hensley against the cage but Hensley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Khanidov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hensley misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hensley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Khanidov blocks the strikes from Hensley.
Khanidov content to control rather than advance.
Hensley tries to roll over but Khanidov keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Khanidov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hensley is just riding it out for now. Khanidov eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Khanidov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hensley's head.
Hensley wants to improve his position but Khanidov is controlling well.
Khanidov wants to pass to mount but Hensley is defending the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Khanidov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khanidov tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hensley.
Hensley throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Khanidov manages to pass to side control.

Hensley is looking for a sweep.
Hensley managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Khanidov.
Hensley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Khanidov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hensley!
Hensley is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Khanidov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hensley?
Hensley bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Hensley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Khanidov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hensley was covering up waiting for the punch and Khanidov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hensley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Khanidov passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hensley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khanidov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Khanidov let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hensley takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Khanidov. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Hensley takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Hensley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hensley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Khanidov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Khanidov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Khanidov tries to pull guard but Hensley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Khanidov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Khanidov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hensley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hensley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Khanidov wants to sweep here but Hensley controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hensley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hensley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hensley is standing up over Khanidov. Khanidov looks to escape but Hensley dives into side control.
Khanidov regains half guard, as Hensley was trying to land strikes.
Hensley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hensley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Khanidov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hensley passes into side control, despite Khanidov's attempt to control the position.
Khanidov trying his best to control but Hensley has mounted him.
Hensley seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Khanidov is holding on tight.
Hensley lands a nice shot to the head.
Khanidov tries to lock up and control but Hensley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hensley connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Hensley connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Hensley fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Khanidov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hensley lands a big elbow.


Khanidov is rocked!
Hensley unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Khanidov wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hensley celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Christopher Hensley!
