Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, John Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Cohen! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cohen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jackson. Jackson just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jackson lands with a left to the head. Jackson lands a hook that snaps the head of Cohen backwards. Jackson stalling.
Jackson lands a hook to the side of the head. Jackson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've been told by Jackson's head coaches at Madz **21 Elite coaches** that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Cohen clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage. Cohen takes a knee right on the jaw!
This has been an exciting period of action! Cohen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cohen throws a combination. Jackson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cohen tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch. Cohen missing with knees to the body.
Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Jackson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jackson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cohen. That did some damage! Cohen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut. Cohen has managed to clinch.
A short left from Jackson. Jackson lands a good knee to the midsection. Cohen won't want to take too many of those. Cohen's coach down at Sydney Fight Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cohen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jackson has Cohen pressed against the cage.
Cohen jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Cohen around his waist. Cohen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson pushes off an throws an elbow but Cohen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Jackson is leaning against Cohen and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Cohen looks winded! Cohen is looking to take this one to the mat. Jackson blocks an elbow strike. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Jackson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Jackson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jackson throws a knee to the head but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson clinches. Cohen is trying to pull guard but Jackson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. John Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Cohen. Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Jackson connects with a solid leg kick. Jackson throws a right hand that Cohen ducks under and follows up with a left that Cohen also avoids with ease. Cohen is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jackson with a body shot. Jackson pushes Cohen up against the cage in a clinch. Jackson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson scores with a nice right hand.

Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jackson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jackson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cohen's brow. Cohen wants a takedown but no success here.
Jackson misses with a punch on the inside.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson lands a left hand.
Jackson cracks Cohen with a nice body shot. Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cohen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jackson lands a body shot. Jackson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jackson moves into the clinch. Cohen is trying to stall.
Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cohen can do to turn this around? Cohen breaks from the clinch.
Jackson closes the distance and pushes Cohen back into the cage. Jackson manages to pull guard.
Cohen trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cohen looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cohen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. John Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cohen. Jackson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cohen is breathing heavily. Jackson connects with a solid leg kick. Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Cohen's head back.
Cohen is rocked! Jackson darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Cohen's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Jackson before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Jackson! A less than humble John Jackson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
