Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between El Chupacabra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Leotardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil Leotardo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, El Chupacabra ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Leotardo! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chupacabra closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Leotardo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chupacabra , pushing him back against the cage. Leotardo gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chupacabra tries to score a body lock takedown but Leotardo shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Chupacabra manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Leotardo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leotardo sizes up Chupacabra with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Leotardo thuds a left hand into Chupacabra 's body. Leotardo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Chupacabra walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Leotardo's coach down at Red Tri-Angle - 12 ELITE COACHES was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Leotardo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Chupacabra has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Leotardo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Leotardo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chupacabra in his tracks. Chupacabra takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Chupacabra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Leotardo is trying to defend but Chupacabra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Chupacabra is pressing down on Leotardo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Leotardo is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chupacabra works his way into side control. Leotardo wants to get back to his feet. Leotardo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chupacabra . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chupacabra is staying tight to Leotardo's torso, preventing him from escaping. Chupacabra thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee asks Chupacabra politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chupacabra prefers to stall for the moment though. Chupacabra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chupacabra looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chupacabra creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Leotardo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Chupacabra controls the position. Chupacabra tries for a kimura but Leotardo is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chupacabra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chupacabra slows the pace down. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Phil Leotardo will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A nice leg kick lands there from Leotardo. Leotardo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chupacabra under the eye. Leotardo drops Chupacabra with a beautiful combination! Chupacabra stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Leotardo is looking for the KO!
Chupacabra is rocked!
It looks like El Chupacabra has been cut. Leotardo tries to clinch but Chupacabra moves out of range. Oh Chupacabra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Phil Leotardo seems to be getting the better of the standup. Leotardo drops Chupacabra with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Chupacabra looks back up at him and smiles so Leotardo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Leotardo, right into the meat.
Leotardo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Leotardo scores with a nice body kick.
Leotardo measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Chupacabra ! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Phil Leotardo!
