Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hiroyuki Okamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okamoto comes to the cage accompanied by Feel the Drive. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Okamoto misses with a body kick.
Okamoto lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Okamoto throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monroe is defended easily by Okamoto.
Monroe takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good work by Monroe as he checks the leg kick.
Okamoto lands a jab to the nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monroe throws a lazy uppercut
and Okamoto counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Okamoto slaps away a takedown attempt from Monroe, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Okamoto darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Okamoto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Monroe takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Okamoto throws a head kick but Monroe moves out of range.
Monroe tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hiroyuki Okamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okamoto tries to work over Monroe's front leg with a kick but Monroe checks it.
Monroe shoots and misses
and Okamoto counters with a left and a right that stings Monroe.
Hiroyuki Okamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miles Monroe.
Monroe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Okamoto tries to avoid it but Monroe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Okamoto to the ground. Okamoto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Good work by Monroe as he checks the leg kick.

Monroe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Okamoto counters with a slapping leg kick.
Monroe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Okamoto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Okamoto tries a low kick but Monroe avoids it.
And Monroe tries to counter it with a takedown but Okamoto pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Monroe takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Monroe shoots in but Okamoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Monroe tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Monroe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Okamoto defends well and Monroe ends up having to push Okamoto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Okamoto lands a head kick. Monroe smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

As Monroe backs away, Okamoto returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Okamoto feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Monroe's calf.
Okamoto lands with a nice body punch.
Okamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Monroe's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Monroe shoots in looking for a takedown but Okamoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Monroe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Monroe shoots in for a double leg but Okamoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Monroe tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okamoto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Okamoto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Okamoto lands a heavy elbow.

Monroe is rocked!
Monroe takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Okamoto's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Hiroyuki Okamoto decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
