Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elliott Potts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Desin! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Desin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Potts throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Desin gets a takedown into half guard. Potts manages to escape and get back to his feet! Robert Desin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Desin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Potts's half guard. Potts is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Desin seems to be looking for submissions.

Potts makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Potts gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Desin to score an easy takedown into full guard. Desin being controlled here momentarily.

Desin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Potts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Desin has Potts in his guard. Potts showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Desin keeping moving, preventing Potts from controlling successfully.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Potts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Potts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Desin is looking to sweep but instead, Potts has passed into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Potts is trying to control. Desin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Potts thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Desin's head. Desin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Potts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Desin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Potts is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Desin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Desin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Potts on his heels. He'll look to pass Potts's guard now, I'm sure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Desin scores with a takedown into Potts's guard. Potts has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Potts continues to stall. Potts keeping moving, preventing Desin from controlling successfully. Desin scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Desin stands up over Potts, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Desin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potts is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Desin is aware though and is defending well. Potts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Elliott Potts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Desin lands a couple of elbows. Desin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Potts keeping moving, preventing Desin from controlling successfully. Potts trying to control the position here. Potts working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Desin. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Potts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Desin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Potts counters with a three punch combo that has Desin backing up. Desin nods at Potts to acknowledge the strikes. Potts thows a body kick. Desin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Desin scores with a three punch combo!
Potts is rocked! Desin lands a huge takedown. Potts is out but the ref is slow to react and Desin lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Potts lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Desin! Robert Desin took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
