Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renan Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyaf Daeland Puno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melo comes into the arena with Fireball - Pitbull blaring out of the sound system. Puno has chosen I'm a soldier - Tupac as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looked like Melo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Melo is really struggling to control Puno but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Puno throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Melo sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Melo is working to tighten his grip on Puno's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Puno has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Melo is really squeezing tight and eventually Puno passes out! Melo breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Renan Melo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
