Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Andrews! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hall pushes Andrews off looking to stand but Andrews dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Andrews is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Andrews is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Andrews throwing shots but Hall is blocking nicely. Andrews takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Andrews wants to work for an arm triangle but Hall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall blocking the ground and pound attempt from Andrews. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Andrews not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews is figuring out what he wants to do next. Andrews throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hall to regain full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Andrews's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Andrews postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Andrews accidentally thumps the mat. Hall utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Andrews showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Andrews content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hall is trying to escape the position but Andrews is controlling the position. Andrews working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hall on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Andrews lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hall down.
Hall is rocked! Hall dodges the ground and pound from Andrews. Oh Hall is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Hall is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Andrews is controlling him well. Hall on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Andrews in side control, throwing shots but Hall defends.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrews in side control lands a decent elbow. Hall parries the strikes from Andrews easily there. Andrews is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hall to escape.
The ground and pound from Andrews seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Andrews is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hall has escaped the position, nice work there. Andrews looks up at the clock and then as Hall takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Andrews smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Andrews throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hall seems to have got his legs back now. Andrews landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Andrews scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hall to see if he's OK. Andrews in side control lands a decent elbow. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Andrews controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrews tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Andrews has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Andrews is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hall has escaped the position, nice work there. Andrews wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hall, who protects the arm well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Andrews content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Andrews cracks Hall with an elbow. That is naaassty. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin Andrews dominated that round. That's time! Hall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Andrews throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Andrews finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hall utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Andrews engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Andrews postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Andrews scoring with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrews is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews loads up on a big left hand. Hall felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Andrews looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hall can't hide his disappointment, as Andrews celebrates the victory.
