Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, No Feget! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dickinson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickinson throws a hook but Feget blocks it. Feget attempts a counter takedown but Dickinson avoids it well and moves away. Feget darts in looking for a takedown but Dickinson gets double underhooks and turns Feget into the cage. A big right from Dickinson misses. Feget feinted with a counter takedown. A telegraphed right hand from Dickinson misses the target. Feget moves out of range of the strikes. Dickinson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Feget displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dickinson throws out the jab. Feget steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dickinson. No luck with that takedown attempt from Feget. Dickinson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Dickinson gets tackled into the cage by Feget. Feget maintains the clinch. Dickinson is trying to break the clinch but Feget is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickinson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Feget misses with a punch to the body.
Feget breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A jab lands there for Dickinson.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Dickinson misses the target. Dickinson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
John Dickinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A swing and a miss from Dickinson. A swing and a miss from Dickinson. Dickinson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Feget bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Feget gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dickinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Feget. Feget gets a clinch. Feget manages to break the clinch.
Feget looks for a takedown but Dickinson sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for No Feget. That's going to take a lot out of him. Feget on the wrong end of a nice jab. Decent striking displayed by Dickinson there.
Feget is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Feget ducks into an uppercut from Dickinson and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
