10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Staunton! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staunton throws a big shot that misses. Staunton throws a head kick but Yount moves out of range.
Yount throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yount scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Yount throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yount misses with a two punch combination.
Yount lands the left hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Staunton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yount uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Staunton. Yount lands a big head kick that sends Staunton to the canvas! Yount follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
