Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaun Dista!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kalle Kanon!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dista was well out of range. Poor timing from Kanon.
Dista is looking to counter punch.
Dista throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kanon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dista throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kanon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kanon missing with a left hand there. Dista was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dista appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Kanon misses the target.
Dista fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kanon checks it well.
Dista avoids the body shot from Kanon.
Kanon just misses with a punch to the body.
A shot to the liver by Kanon. Beautiful body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kanon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dista manages to avoid it.
Dista was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kanon throws a big shot that misses.
Dista swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Dista takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dista throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kanon was covering up waiting for the punch and Dista finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dista stays in close to Kanon's body and controls the position.
Dista trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dista wants to control from the top but Kanon keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dista working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dista has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dista thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dista takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice jab there from Kanon.

Kanon lands a glancing blow to the side of Dista's head.
Kanon cracks Dista with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kanon stuns Dista with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Dista throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kanon.
Kanon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dista manages to avoid it.
Kanon throws a body shot but no joy.
An attempted straight right counter from Dista misses the target.
Dista gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kanon connects with the punch.
Dista is rocked!
Kanon is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dista had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Dista missing with a left hand there. Kanon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh Dista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kanon circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Dista to the canvas! Dista doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kanon keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kalle Kanon!
